Fall Fashion: The Best of the Oakley Women’s Fall Collection

Ah, autumn. Too cold for the bathing suit/flip flop combo, but too warm to bust out the snow pants and Sorels. No doubt about it: fall is not easy to dress for.

Lucky for me, in return for the awesome and athletic ladies-only events I put in on Whistler, Oakley provides me with a lovely fall workout wardrobe—and equally luckily for me, in Whistler, workout clothing is synonymous with everyday clothing.

I’ve sweated. I’ve shivered. I’ve logged kilometers and down dogs. I’ve done side planks, normal planks and dolphin planks. And now, dear reader, I have curated the best of the Oakley Women’s Fall Collection—for you.

The Doberman – a.k.a. Extreme Tight Capris
The first thing I thought when I pulled out these pants: sick. These are totally Doberman pants. Or Rottweiler pants. Or Germand Shepherd pants. You be the judge:

Despite being Extreme Tight (as per the name), these pants are also Extreme Comfortable. You know those thicker yoga type pants that fit in a boa constrictor way, and it feels really good when you take them off? These are not like that. They honestly feel like a second skin. The material is super thin, so you don't feel restricted while moving.

Stretch panels, mesh panels, compression bits in all the right spots. Run free, Lassie.

The Kelly Kapowski – a.k.a. The Original O Sweater
You can still wear shorts and tank tops in autumn, like when you're hitting up a hot yoga class. The thing is, you need something to cover up when you go outside.

I played a version of Russian roulette the other day when I popped into the grocery store po'-yo' (post yoga) in short shorts and a sweaty top, praying I wouldn't see anyone I know (if you live in Whistler, you know the grocery store is like the number one place you run into people you know). Don't be like me. Get something to wear on top.

This little number does just the trick:

At first, I wasn't sure whether or not I could pull off the off-the-shoulder 80's look. But then I put it on and realized I looked like Kelly Kapowksi. It felt awesome.
Right?? This sweatshirt is that perfect, cozy material that makes you want to sit in front of a fireplace all day. I just feel really great wearing it.

Spiderman Style – a.k.a. Reducer Two Printed Tank
"I like this. Very Marvel Comics." said my boyfriend, about this tank top, when I showed him my new Oakley loot. This tank top says it is "designed for fuller body types". I don't know if I'd say I have a "fuller" body type, but I DO appreciate that this tank top is a little higher cut.

Whether I'm doing arm rows or airplane pose, I don't really like staring down my own shirt. This is one of the few tank tops that covers up. Plus, it's steezy (I got a few compliments on it).

It has a legitimate built-in sports bra– like, a little clasp and all. I normally don't trust these so-called built-in sports bras, but I committed to a hot yoga class testing it out, and it actually did the job. Well-done, Oakley.

Cool Kid Glasses – a.k.a. the Oakley Forehand
Oakley is known for their sunglasses– for a darned good reason. For instance, did you know that Oakley's women's sunnies are made so that there is no nose-cushion piece to get caught up in your hair if you wear them like a headband? Brilliant.

The Forehands are one of my favourite Oakley styles, because they can pass for both casual-wear and active-wear. You look silly wearing your Chanel sunglasses on a run, just as you look a little off wearing your bike-riding glasses when doing anything other than bike-riding. These offer the best of both worlds.

The Perfect Running Top – a.k.a. the Flexibility Hoodie
Runners, rejoice. I have found the perfect fall running top.

  • It is long-sleeved, which I need for fall.
  • It has thumb holes. I love thumb holes.
  • It has a hood, so when it starts raining mid-run, you're good to go.
  • It does not chafe.
And it looks good, too! Check out my fellow Oakley ambassadors sporting the Flexiblity Hoodie:
Just so great for fall. So great.
