GoPro Releases Newest Camera To The World

GoPro has just announced the Hero 3+ camera which improves on the current Hero 3 model in many ways. With a new lens and improvements to just about every feature you can think of - better audio, better low-light performance, wider field of view, improved battery life and a smaller case just to name a few - this is not so much a whole new model as a souping-up of the current model to tide us over until the Hero 4 is released sometime soon (I hope!).

It is available in both the Black and Silver editions of the camera.

Smaller, lighter!

From GoPro:

The GoPro HERO3+ Black Edition Camera is 20% smaller and lighter than its predecessor, the HERO3. It also features faster built-in Wi-Fi than the HERO3. The HERO3+ is designed for recording a variety of adventure sports and it comes with a rugged housing that is waterproof down to a depth of 131' (40m). The camera captures 4K Cinema, 2.7K Cinema, 1440p and Full HD 1080p video. It can record up to 120 frames per second (fps) when shooting in 720p mode. For still images, the HERO3+ supports up to 12MP photos with a burst rate of up to 30 fps.

The camera's other features include Auto Low Light mode and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which lasts 30% longer than the HERO3 battery."

Hey, it's not quite the whole new model we predicted last week (HERE) but it should tide us video nerds (and just about every tourist in lift line) over until the next big show.
