I had the pleasure of filming with Elias for two months last season as part of People Film's Pretty Wise film and it's great to see some of our footage, plus a bunch more hammers, get edited up into this banger of a part.
As you'll surely agree after seeing this video, Elias's style is just a pleasure to watch. You can literally tell just how much fun this kid is having every moment of every day, it just oozes out of everything he does. And let me tell you, unlike some others I know that preach the "snowboarding is so fun" tip and then act completely different when the camera is off, Elias could not be more the real deal. I swear, in two months of working together every day, I never saw him lose his cool, or his smile, even once. Rain, snow, fog, broken sleds… it was nothing but a part of the game for Elias, and boy does he love the game. And then his snowboarding skills, well, let's just say that he is on a different level than most. The number of tricks, per tries, he lands on a daily basis in the backcountry is absolutely unheard of. Going three for three (different tricks) on a jump he has never hit before quickly became the norm after filming together for a few days and it became a game to see when he would bail, as opposed to waiting for most riders to land their trick.
Way to go Elias! We'll all be watching as your career progresses, the sky is the limit and I am sure you will have nothing but success and well deserved accolades for years to come.
