That Granny Can beat Us All! – Willie Murphy, grandma and powerlifter.

Powerlifting is getting a lot of press coverage lately and the story of Willie Murphy will do just that.

First things first, powerlifting is a discipline where the athlete has to lift the heaviest weight they can in 3 different types of lift : squat, bench press, and deadlift.

Not a sport you would imagine your grandma practicing, right?

However, Willie Murphy does it, and she does it well.

The short documentary above follows her in a training session at the gym. You can see her flex her muscles, throw some signs, lift weights, and be pretty rad overall.

Seriously, Mrs Murphy is clearly in better shape than we are…and she's over 50 years older than me!

Heck, she even makes a “do you even lift” joke.
