Watch this Insane Shot from UCI Elite XCE World Championship [Video]

The Go Pro footage above is from Fabrice Mels, Belgian moutain bike rider and now XCE World Champion (cross-country eliminator). 

POV shots of big races are always super interesting as you can grasp better the technical aspects of the sport, but also feel the intensity of the race.

In this edit, not only the trail itself seemed very technical (840 meters of all type of terrains), but the riders were going at it hard. However, Mels' start, and most of his race, was far from glorious.

Just as he was finally catching up on his opponants Emil Lindgren (Sweden) and Kevin Miquel (France) in the final, luck struck for Mels as both riders crashed into each other. Mels grabbed the opportunity and sprinted for the finish. 

In the end, it was a great race in Hafjell (close to Lillehammer in Norway) for the belgian rider.
