Is This Trampoline Bridge The Solution To Canada’s Infrastructure Problems?

From the Champlain Bridge to the Lion's Gate, could we finally have a viable solution to our crumbling infrastructure problem?

Imagine crossing one of the world’s most beautiful rivers in the one of the world’s most beautiful cities…on a freaking trampoline bridge! This whimsical bridge is the dream child of design firm, Atelier Zündel Cristea. Though still in the “concept” stage, this bridge the designers state the it’s “dedicated to the joyful release from gravity.”

The bridge would be comprised of three trampolines, 30-meters in diameter. The trampoline bridge would cross the river Seine, with stairs at either bank, or a slide if you so desire. Personally, if I was a daily Seine commuter, I’d totally opt for jumping to work across a massive trampoline.

The design was submitted to the Archtriumph competition and came in third place. What came in first? A zero-gravity elevator?!
