Contagious things usually suck, but not always. A few years ago I modified some mud tires with sheet metal screws. The tires allowed me to ride my bike all winter. My bike had adapted to a whole new set of conditions. All of a sudden, cold snaps and fresh pow were reasons to go riding!

The idea spread like a disease. Now we have a serious crew for the winter trails. Chain up the truck, grab your bike, and come along on our winter shenanigans as we all get sick. – Matt Hunter
