Ladies Slopestyle Goes Huge – Watch The Runs Right Here

An insanely action-packed women's finals capped off the olympic debut of snowboard slopestyle and the ladies definitely did not hold back. From the first ever in-competition 1080 to a horrible, head-smacking crash that ended with a helmet cracked in half, it was full heart-in-your-throat action from start to finish.

On a course that had been all but deemed deadly earlier in the week, the best women snowboarders in the world took to the huge jumps with ease and sent it larger, and with more style, than has ever been seen before. In the end, it was American Jamie Anderson who came out on top with a run for the ages. Canadian Spencer O'Brien was unfortunetely not able to put her run together and ended in 12th place – a hard pill to swallow no doubt but Spencer should be proud she went down swinging. Her final run was looking like it could easily have taken the competition, alas it was not meant to be today.
