Who is stoked for some hiking! Whistler mountain is opening this weekend but if your home mountain isn't, watching this trailer could be the motivation you need to hoof it.
The burn of climbing a mountain for hours is not something most of us relish. For Jeremey Jones however; it's life. The ten time Snowboarder magazine " Big Mountain Rider of the Year" brought us such eye candy as "Deeper" and "Further", two snowboard movies that probably inspired many to go out and climb a mountain right away.
The rumors have been spreading, now it's here! The final part in the trilogy, " Higher." Just like the title, Jones and friends explore the Sierra Mountains close to home (which are pretty high), and travel to the prayer flag decorated Shangri La, Nepal to ride, yes, in the Himalayas, riding peaks around 20,000 feet above sea level!
It's ballsy trecks like these, that have earned Jones the tiltle of "Adventurer of the Year" from National Geographic. However; for Jones the ride is all he needs.“I have set up my life around finding and riding the planet’s best mountains for snowboarding, and Higher represents the pinnacle achievements in my life as a snowboarder. As much as I appreciate all the accolades I have received in snowboarding, these lines mean the most to me. They are my lifetime achievement awards,” Jones was quoted in a press release from TGR.
By supporting projects like these you are also supporting a great cause as Jones is an advocate and founder for "Protect our Winters" aka POW.
Fall 2014, who's stoked to watch Jeremy Jones get "Higher"!
