Skateboarding In The Olympics? Oh God, Here We Go Again!

Someone is making a hard push for skateboarding to be the next olympic sport. Watch the ridiculous pitch video they're using to make their case and try not to puke in your mouth! It's all downhill from here.

There's so much wrong with this video it's a bit hard to know where to start. The voiceover kinda says it all. Ie. Let's make skateboarding a hollywood-style extraveganza! haha. There's too many quotes to even try but using Shaun White, "the biggest action sports hero in the world", to sell your point is already showing the world exactly what these guys think is important. Money!

This is all terribly reminiscent of snowboarding's entrance into the olypics. Sorry, the olymp-dicks. That story is still being written but the whole thing was handled so improperly that it left a terrible taste in almost the entire industry's collective mouths. You'd think whoever is in charge of this push would have learned something from that whole debacle.
